Israel Experience Scholarships

Need-based scholarships are available through JET and The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington for long-term educational experiences in Israel for current 10th-12th graders who reside in the Greater Washington area and college and post-graduate students who either are permanent residents of or attend college in the Greater Washington area.  Priority is given to those applying for full semester or year-long programs.

In order to be considered for scholarships, applicants must provide the following:

  • A brochure, if available, describing your program of study in Israel
  • A detailed personal statement describing your reasons for choosing this program
  • Two letters of reference
  • A copy of last year's tax returns (Form 1040) and a W-2 for yourself AND your parents, if they claim you as a dependent.

Decisions are made by JET's Israel Experience Scholarships committee.

Please contact Julie Bernstein, Project Associate at JET, at 301-230-7245 for more information.
