The Jewish Youth Philanthropy Institute brings together students from different schools and neighborhoods to create their own philanthropic fund. The 8th and 9th grade Jewish Youth Philanthropy Fund program meets monthly, October-May, to review grant proposals from diverse community agencies, make site visits, meet with staff and some of the individuals the agencies serve and to engage in experiential learning. Funding decisions are made as a group at the end of the program year. The 10th-12th grade program begins in January and will meet 3-4 times to engage in a similar process. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved, learn about your community, make a difference, and be heard.
Space is limited, registration is on a first-come/first-served basis. First session is Thursday, October 24.
